Low-dose edibles, topicals, tinctures, and sleep gummies. Plain language. No overwhelming menu. No millennials-only aesthetic. Built for the Sunrise Coast, by the people who live here.
The Sunrise Coast Relief shelf is organized so you do not have to know the vocabulary to find what you came for.
First-time or returning after a long break.
Maybe the last time you tried cannabis, it was the 1970s. Michigan's adult-use market is different, and today's products are more precise. We walk you through what has changed and start you somewhere gentle, with as much time as you need.
Looking for something other than flower.
Not everyone wants to smoke. Our Sunrise Coast Relief shelf centers on edibles, topicals, and tinctures, dose-marked and discreet. You can order at our counter without feeling like you walked into the wrong room.
Buying for a parent, grandparent, or spouse.
Plenty of our regulars are picking up for someone else. Tell us who it is for, what they are hoping it helps with, and whether they have tried cannabis before. We will point to three options and explain the differences in plain English.
The shelf
What is on the Sunrise Coast Relief shelf.
Low-dose edibles.
Gummies, chocolates, and chews dosed so you know exactly what you are getting. Start low, wait the full 90 minutes, go from there. Common reasons people try them: winding down after dinner, social ease, sleep support, or simply a gentler alternative to an after-work drink.
Dose range: 2.5mg to 10mg per piece
Topicals.
Creams, balms, and roll-ons that go on the skin, not in the body. You do not feel high. Common reasons people try them: body comfort after a long day, muscle tension, the weather turning cold.
Non-intoxicating
Tinctures.
Drops under the tongue or into a drink, with a dropper that marks the dose. Faster than an edible, gentler than flower. Common reasons people try them: precise dosing, discreet use, a format that does not require baking or vaping.
Dose range: 2mg to 10mg per dropper mark
Sleep gummies.
A specific kind of edible formulated for evening use, typically with extra ingredients that support winding down. We stock a few variations so you can try what works for your rhythm.
Dose range: 2.5mg to 10mg per gummy, typically taken one hour before bed
How to start
How to start, without overthinking it.
01
Tell us what you are hoping to feel.
Not what you want to diagnose. What you want to feel. "Relaxed after dinner." "Asleep by 11." "Less sore on a Saturday." We work from there.
02
Start with the lowest dose we stock.
Our typical starter dose is 2.5mg. Most people who are new to Michigan's market have never tried anything that low. It is enough to feel, gentle enough to not overshoot.
03
Wait 90 minutes before taking more.
Edibles take longer to land than people expect. The mistake almost everyone makes is taking more at 45 minutes when nothing has happened yet. Wait the full 90.
04
Come back and tell us what you felt.
Next time in, tell us what worked or did not. We adjust. That is how we learn what your Sunrise Coast Relief shelf looks like.
"If my mother asked me to pick something out for her, I would tell her exactly what I am about to tell you."
Every budtender at Highway Dispos is trained in plain-language wellness. That means explaining cannabis without jargon, without assumptions about what a customer already knows, and without pushing anyone into a product they do not want. If you would rather have the conversation in advance, call either store during business hours and ask for someone from the Sunrise Coast Relief team.
We do not make medical claims. Cannabis is not a substitute for care from your doctor. We can help you pick a product. We cannot prescribe one.
We do not push flower on someone who is not asking for it. The Sunrise Coast Relief shelf is built around formats that do not require a lighter.
We do not hurry.
Questions
Sunrise Coast Relief, in short.
Is Sunrise Coast Relief the same as medical cannabis?
No. Sunrise Coast Relief is a selection of low-dose, non-smokable, and discreet cannabis products that we merchandise for adults who are new to cannabis, returning to it after a long break, or not interested in flower. Every product on the shelf is adult-use cannabis sold at a licensed Michigan retailer. You do not need a medical card to buy any of it.
What is a low dose?
In Michigan, adult-use edibles commonly come in 10mg doses, which is a typical experienced-user serving. Our Sunrise Coast Relief shelf centers on 2.5mg and 5mg options, which most people new to cannabis find much more comfortable as a starting point.
Can my spouse or adult child pick something up for me?
Yes, as long as they are 21 or older with a valid government-issued ID and they buy it under their own name. They cannot transfer cannabis to a minor, and they should not open the product in a vehicle on the drive home. Michigan law treats cannabis similar to alcohol in that way.
Will a topical make me feel high?
No. Topicals are formulated to act on the skin without entering the bloodstream in meaningful amounts. You do not feel intoxicated. Many of our customers use topicals in the morning and continue with their day as normal.
I do not want to smell like cannabis. What are my options?
Edibles, tinctures, and topicals do not produce smoke or vapor, and most have little to no cannabis odor. Gummies, chocolates, tinctures in a dropper bottle, and creams in a tube are the most discreet formats we stock.
What if I try something and it does not work for me?
Michigan law does not allow returns of cannabis products once they leave the store. But come back and tell us what happened. We will make a better recommendation the next time, based on what you felt. That is how the shelf is built over time.
